A Thought-Provoking Tale of Fate, Choice, and the Meaning of Life.

For July's meeting, we will be discussing The Measure by Nikki Erlick

Everyone receives a box revealing the length of their life, forcing eight ordinary people to confront destiny, love, and the meaning of life as they decide whether to open their boxes. The novel follows intertwined stories of characters grappling with this new reality, exploring themes of hope, prejudice, and human connection as society divides into "short-stringers" and "long-stringers". It's a thought-provoking story about family, friendship, and living life to the fullest, blending fantasy with philosophical questions about choice and fate.

Print copies will be available at the circulation desk beginning approximately one month before the discussion. You may also be able to borrow this title in eBook and eAudiobook formats through MCPL's digital services (such as Libby/OverDrive and Hoopla, where available).
