Build practical money skills you can use now. Learn saving, credit, debt, and investing basics through real-life examples, guided activities, and time for teen questions. No prior experience needed.

Join us to build practical money skills you can use now. Guest presenters from Kelley Cushing Business Connect (KCBC) will explain saving, credit, debt, and investing with real-life examples and short activities. This program is a good starting point if you are thinking about a first job, managing spending, saving for a goal, or understanding money terms you hear online.

What to expect:

  • Compare debit and credit.
  • Learn what credit scores can affect and how lenders may use them.
  • Talk through debt, saving goals, and basic investing ideas.
  • Ask questions in a beginner-friendly setting.

No prior finance knowledge needed. This program is educational and does not provide personal financial advice.

Library Program Attendance (both virtual and in the branch) is limited to participants within the suggested age range of the program. Children attending an MCPL program under the age of 8 must be accompanied by an adult. Adults attending a program intended for children must have an accompanying child.

If you plan to attend with a group of ten or more, please contact the branch at least one week before the program to discuss how your group might be accommodated.
