Wednesday, June 03
2:00pm - 3:00pm
A Haunting Literary Mystery of Family, Secrets, and Survival.
For June's meeting, we will be discussing The God of the Woods by Liz Moore
A multi-threaded literary thriller set in the Adirondacks, centered on the 1975 disappearance of a teenage girl from a summer camp owned by a wealthy family, echoing a similar event from 16 years prior. The story explores class tensions between the rich family and the local community, family secrets, and the lives of the counselors and townspeople, becoming a story of love, inheritance, and second chances.
Print copies will be available at the circulation desk beginning approximately one month before the discussion. You may also be able to borrow this title in eBook and eAudiobook formats through MCPL's digital services (such as Libby/OverDrive and Hoopla, where available).
