Help Shape a Library Program for Teens
Tuesday, November 10
4:00pm - 5:00pm
Suggest topics and activities for a library program about AI. No experience needed. Earn 2 SSL hours by participating in the session and completing the required follow-up.
Help shape a library program about artificial intelligence (AI) that reflects teens' actual questions and interests. Suggest topics, explore activity ideas, and give honest feedback about what seems useful, confusing, or missing. Your ideas will help shape the program before the materials are finalized.
Work with students from the University of Maryland College of Information in a collaborative planning session. The goal is a program library staff can use with future teen groups at Quince Orchard, with potential for use at other MCPL branches. Teen Advisory Board (TAB) members are encouraged to participate.
Questions and everyday situations involving schoolwork, social media, or online searches can help the team develop relevant examples. General or fictional situations are welcome; sharing personal experiences is optional. You can contribute through discussion or written feedback, and no prior AI experience or personal AI account is needed.
Student Service Learning (SSL): Earn two SSL hours total for participating in the session and completing the required follow-up.
Snacks will be provided. Please register to help us plan activities and refreshments. Walk-ins are welcome as space permits.
