A Riveting Historical Novel of Secrets, Survival, and Identity

For November's meeting, we will be discussing The Stolen Life of Colette Marceau by Kristin Harmel

A historical fiction novel by Kristin Harmel about an elderly jewel thief in Boston who, in 2018, seeks answers about her sister's disappearance during WWII Paris after a stolen bracelet resurfaces. The story alternates between Colette's present-day quest and her past, where she and her mother stole jewels to fund the French Resistance, leading to tragedy in 1942. The novel explores themes of family, loss, morality, and the legacy of war, following Colette as she uses her skills to uncover the truth about her sister's fate.

Print copies will be available at the circulation desk beginning approximately one month before the discussion. You may also be able to borrow this title in eBook and eAudiobook formats through MCPL's digital services (such as Libby/OverDrive and Hoopla, where available).
