Beyond the Basics is an intermediate class designed for people knowledgeable of using a computer and familiar with the internet.
Senior Planet will present this 6-week, PC-based course. It expands on the concepts and skills taught in Senior Planet, Computer Basics and explores the internet as an everyday resource. If you are an absolute beginner and never used a computer this class is not appropriate. In order to register, you must have knowledge and experience with of basic computer use and using the internet.
This intermediate course will help you improve your research skills; explore more email features; use Google Drive, Photos, and Docs; and go over how to stay safe online. You'll also learn how the internet can be a great source for entertainment, health information, and more! This course is a good opportunity to expand your ability to use computers to improve and enrich your daily life. Prerequisites: You must have an email address that you use and be comfortable downloading apps and navigating the internet. To get the most out of this course, you should also be willing to open a Gmail account if you don’t already have one.

Senior Planet will provide all registered attendees a workbook that accompanies the class.

Library Program Attendance (both virtual and in the branch) is limited to participants within the suggested age range of the program. Children attending an MCPL program under the age of 8 must be accompanied by an adult. Adults attending a program intended for children must have an accompanying child.
If you plan to attend with a group of ten or more, please contact the branch at least one week before the program to discuss how your group might be accommodated.
