Bat Hats!

Use paper circuits and LED lights to make a paper bat hat with glowing eyes!

Learn to use simple, safe paper circuits and batteries to make a headband that's perfect for Halloween, the spooky season, or any bat fans out there. The eyes will light up when you put the hat on and close the switch.

We will provide all materials for this program. Space is limited and tickets will be available 30 minutes prior to the program at the desk in the children's area. Please note, admittance will end 10 minutes after the start time of this program.

This program is for 1st through 5th grade. Participants under the age of 8 MUST be accompanied by an adult for the entirety of the program.

This program has been generously sponsored by Science Across America, a HHMI Tangled Bank Studios and STAR Net campaign to help libraries highlight the history of scientific achievement in our country, and increase awareness of local connections to science in our communities.

Library Program Attendance (both virtual and in the branch) is limited to participants within the suggested age range of the program. Children attending an MCPL program under the age of 8 must be accompanied by an adult. Adults attending a program intended for children must have an accompanying child.
