Baby & Toddler Music & Movement

Baby & Toddler Music and Movement is a fun, dynamic program for babies and toddlers to sing, wiggle, and develop gross motor skills with their caregivers!

Join us for a joyful music and movement experience for little ones ages 0–24 months and their caregivers! We’ll sing, enjoy lap bounces, explore finger plays and rhymes, play with shaker eggs and scarves, and more! Children are encouraged to participate in their caregiver’s lap or alongside their grown-up, if they need to get their wiggles out.

Through music and movement, little ones build communication, listening, coordination, motor, sensory, and social-emotional skills. The rhythm, repetition, and patterns in songs and rhymes also lay the foundation for language and early literacy. Caregiver participation is at the heart of the experience, creating opportunities for bonding, interaction, imitation, and joyful shared play. No musical experience required—just come ready to sing, move, and play together!

Library Program Attendance (both virtual and in the branch) is limited to participants within the suggested age range of the program. Children attending an MCPL program under the age of 8 must be accompanied by an adult. Adults attending a program intended for children must have an accompanying child.
