Join us for our first of a kind children's costume swap! Costumes will range in sizes for ages 0-13.

Join us for our first of a kind children’s costume swap, a free community event for children ages 0–13! Help give costumes a second life while saving money and reducing waste. You can donate clean, gently used children’s costumes, masks, and accessories from now to 5pm on October 19th. Donations will be accepted at the circulation desk on the lower level of the Germantown Library or bring donations with you to the swap.

Bring your little ghosts and goblins to the main swap event to browse the racks and choose a “new-to-you” costume for Halloween trick-or-treating or year-round dress-up play! Children can choose one costume per child, free while supplies last. A donation is not required to participate.

Please donate only items that are clean, stain-free, and in good condition. MCPL does not guarantee the condition, safety, fit, or suitability of donated items. Participants accept donated items at their own discretion and risk.

Photography and video recording are not permitted during MCPL events.

Library Program Attendance (both virtual and in the branch) is limited to participants within the suggested age range of the program. Children attending an MCPL program under the age of 8 must be accompanied by an adult. Adults attending a program intended for children must have an accompanying child.

If you plan to attend with a group of ten or more, please contact the branch at least one week before the program to discuss how your group might be accommodated.

Accommodation Requests

To request an accommodation, contact the library branch where you want the accommodation. If they are unable to help, or if you need an accommodation for an online resource or event, complete our Accommodation Request Form online or call Library Administration at 240-777-0002.
