Join Quince Orchard Library's Teen Advisory Board to help shape teen programming, gain leadership experience, receive 4 SSL hours, and enjoy free snacks.
Are you interested in helping to shape library programs and spaces for Student Service-Learning (SSL) hours? Join Quince Orchard Library's Teen Advisory Board (TAB)! Each month, we gather to discuss how to improve teen services at MCPL while enjoying free pizza and drinks provided by Friends of the Library, Montgomery County (FOLMC). We offer 4 SSL hours for each meeting attended and often have guest speakers present on topics relevant to teens. You can also join our TAB leadership team, which prepares teens for being leaders in the community, on college campuses, and good citizens of the world.
What is a Teen Advisory Board?
TAB is a group of library teen volunteers that helps the library and the community by implementing, promoting, and advocating for youth services in Montgomery County. TAB will provide feedback on programs, assist librarians with planning and running events, and serve as library advocates. You earn SSL hours for attending TAB meetings, and there will be more opportunities to volunteer in person in the coming year. Quince Orchard Library's TAB meetings take place on the first Thursday of each month from 3:30 - 5:00 p.m.
