Turn Portraits into Playful Exaggerations

Learn how to observe, simplify, and exaggerate facial features as you sketch a realistic portrait that gradually evolves into a caricature capturing your subject’s unique look and personality. Age 18+

Learn how to combine observation, simplification and exaggeration as you create a caricature of a workshop participant.  You will create a progression of sketches, beginning with a realistic portrait that will gradually evolve into a caricature that captures your subject’s unique appearance and personality. All supplies will be provided.

Library Program Attendance (both virtual and in the branch) is limited to participants within the suggested age range of the program. Children attending an MCPL program under the age of 8 must be accompanied by an adult. Adults attending a program intended for children must have an accompanying child.

If you plan to attend with a group of ten or more, please contact the branch at least one week before the program to discuss how your group might be accommodated.
