Join us for a Local Author Showcase pre-event, just right for our youngest customers!
Local author Mirka Hokkanen will be joining Ms. Maranda for a fun storytime to celebrate the wealth of literary talent in Montgomery County.
These 25-30-minute family storytimes are designed to delight children of all ages and are filled with diverse stories and activities that promote and develop language skills and imagination. These programs encourage children to develop a lifelong love of reading and learning and introduce them to the culture of reading.
Space is limited! Seating is available on a first come, first served basis.
Interested in participating as a local author next year?
Though our author selection is finished for this year, consider submitting an application for next year. Space is limited, and only selected authors will be contacted with next steps in the Fall of 2027.

Library Program Attendance (both virtual and in the branch) is limited to participants within the suggested age range of the program. Children attending an MCPL program under the age of 8 must be accompanied by an adult. Adults attending a program intended for children must have an accompanying child.
If you plan to attend with a group of ten or more, please contact the branch at least one week before the program to discuss how your group might be accommodated.
