Local Author Showcase 2026

Montgomery County Public Libraries' Local Author Book Showcase is back!

Montgomery County Public Libraries’ Local Author Showcase is back with more authors and more ways to connect with the MoCo writing community!

Join us throughout the day and visit with local authors from in and around Montgomery County. First 500 attendees will get a free tote bag with opportunities to get author signatures.

Visit your favorite authors or discover new favorites while browsing for your next great read! Author tables may include signing and sales of books and book related materials. No pressure to buy--meet, greet, and interact with our local literary community. All event sales will be done directly through the attending authors, and all sales must be finalized before leaving the Wheaton Gymnasium. 

Interested in participating as a local author next year?

Though our author selection is finished for this year, consider submitting an application for next year. Space is limited, and only selected authors will be contacted with next steps in the Fall of 2027.

Library Program Attendance (both virtual and in the branch) is limited to participants within the suggested age range of the program. Children attending an MCPL program under the age of 8 must be accompanied by an adult. Adults attending a program intended for children must have an accompanying child.

If you plan to attend with a group of ten or more, please contact the branch at least one week before the program to discuss how your group might be accommodated.
