Set in Silver Spring, "Debra Lee..." introduces a dynamic new heroine navigating a chronic illness (MS), caregiving and single motherhood, all while training for a 150-mile cycling challenge.
Ms. Pickett's first novel has been described as "An electrifying tale of grit, heart, and unshakable resolve. . . . Pickett is a masterful storyteller whose words don’t just tell a story—they pull you in, wrap around your heart, and linger long after the last page” - Midwest Book Review. "Debra Lee Won't Break" was published this past May, and is available in the Library's collection as an eBook, through our website in Hoopla: https://www.montgomerycountymd.gov/library/collection/downloads-and-streaming.html
