Discussion of "Debra Lee Won't Break," Her Debut Novel

Set in Silver Spring, "Debra Lee..." introduces a dynamic new heroine navigating a chronic illness (MS), caregiving and single motherhood, all while training for a 150-mile cycling challenge.

Ms. Pickett's first novel has been described as "An electrifying tale of grit, heart, and unshakable resolve. . . . Pickett is a masterful storyteller whose words don’t just tell a story—they pull you in, wrap around your heart, and linger long after the last page” - Midwest Book Review. The program will be held in the Multi-Purpose Room, accessible from the Lobby of the building, on the first floor. Library Program Attendance (both virtual and in the branch) is limited to participants within the suggested age range of the program. Children attending an MCPL program under the age of 8 must be accompanied by an adult. Adults attending a program intended for children must have an accompanying child.
