Visit us at the Wheaton Library to learn more about conservation and the outdoors, and the Salt Wise and Salt Watch programs.
Community members will learn about the Salt Wise and Salt Watch programs and how they can help contribute to scientific research by testing their waterways for chloride pollution. Visitors will also learn proper road salting techniques and how to advocate for better practices to protect our waterways. Free water quality testing kits, information, and other swag will be available. In collaboration with the Izaak Walton League of America and the Montgomery County Department of Environmental Protection (DEP).
