Michael Hayes has recently retired from a 35 year opera/musical theater career, where he earned a reputation as one of the world’s most versatile and charismatic tenors.
Michael Hayes' wide-ranging repertory has included roles in the world of opera as well as the Broadway stage, and as varied as the Duke in Rigoletto (with the Cleveland Opera) and Danilo in Lehar's 'The Merry Widow.' He performed many roles with the New York City Opera, which he considers the highlight of his career, performing with many extraordinary, gifted and generous artists in the Kennedy Center, Broadway and Los Angeles productions of Stephen Sondheim's Follies.
