Transform your yard and garden trimmings into material that enriches the soil. Registration required - see link below. The program will be held in the Multi-Purpose Room, #132, led by MC DEP staff.
Backyard composting transforms your yard and garden trimmings, such as grass clippings, leaves, and garden prunings, into a dark, crumbly, sweet-smelling material that naturally enriches the soil! Register today to attend a Backyard Composting Workshop designed to teach you about the composting process and how to use your backyard composting bin.
Registration is free and those who register before 10/3 will receive a Backyard Composting Tool-Kit that includes a compost bin, thermometer, moisture meter, and compost turner.
Note: this workshop will only cover composting of yard and garden trimmings.
