Come join us for Sunday Poetry Afternoons for adults.
Read, write, and share poetry with other poetry lovers.
Whether you’ve read and written lots of poetry, or none at all, we have a place for you in our group.
Today's session is inspired by this year's One Maryland One Book selection, What Storm, What Thunder by Myriam J.A. Chancy, which follows the lives of a group of loosely connected people before, during, and after the 2010 earthquake in Port au Prince, Haiti. Books will be made available for all participants about one month ahead of the program, so you'll have time to read the book and write a poem. Stop by the checkout desk to pick one up.
