Story Hour at the Olney Library

"Carla Hall"

Join us for an afternoon of stories to celebrate Olney Theatre's production of "Carla Hall" with guest storyteller, Simoné Boyd!

To celebrate the production of Carla Hall, the Olney Theatre Center is sponsoring an afternoon of stories at the library, hosted by guest storyteller Simoné Boyd.

This is a free family event appropriate for all ages, especially toddlers, preschoolers, and young children.

Registration is NOT required.

Simoné Boyd is an actor, director, and spoken word artist. She is committed to social justice through storytelling. She believes that through characters, audiences grow in empathy for their neighbors. From directing Peter and the Starcatchers for Applause! Cary Youth Theatre to being a Teaching Artist for Olney Theatre to being a drama instructor and drama camp counselor, Simoné has worked with children to help them grow their voice and build their confidence. She loves the pride her kids feel when they finish a production they worked really hard on. 

Library Program Attendance (both virtual and in the branch) is limited to participants within the suggested age range of the program. Children attending an MCPL program under the age of 8 must be accompanied by an adult. Adults attending a program intended for children must have an accompanying child.
