• Shape Teen Programming • Gain Leadership Experience • Receive 4 Service-Learning Hours • Free Snacks and Sips
A representative of the Montgomery County Board of Elections will be joining us to talk about election worker opportunities for teens in Montgomery County. Earn money, max out those SSL hours early, and serve your community and maybe humankind! Be sure to bring a valid state ID (learner's permit, driver's license or MVA ID) and know the last four digits of your Social Security number in order to take advantage of this great opportunity!
If you are under 16, you can be part of the Future Vote program and earn SSL hours. Teens over age 16 can be election judges and have a choice of either earning money or SSL hours.
Of course we will be providing the usual SSL hours (two just for showing up, four for doing something extra like posting to social media or preparing a book list) and snacks.
Don't miss it!
Join us for our Teen Advisory Board Night! Are you interested in helping shape library programs and spaces for service-learning hours? Each month we gather to discuss how to improve teen services at MCPL. We offer free snacks, 4 SSL hours, and often have guest speakers from the community on teen interests. You can also join our TAB leadership which prepares teens for being leaders in the community, on college campuses, and good citizens of the world.
