Merikay is a popular Master Gardener speaker and advocate for native plant landscaping. Her talk, in the Multi-Purpose Rm, will focus on the important role of native shrubs to our local ecosystem.
Native shrubs have benefits for insects and animals, and provide protection for our soil. Merikay will discuss valuable native shrubs, their growth habits and benefits to our environment. Time permitting, she will invite questions from the audience.This talk is a presentation of the University of Maryland Extension.
