Grades 4-6 fans of fantasy, adventure, and folklore! Join us tonight as we discuss the action-packed story of a girl who has to confront her fears and face a supernatural threat to her community!

No Shelf Control is a new book club this year for students in Grades 4-6 who love to read and have fun talking about books and characters! Tonight we'll be discussing Diana López's fantasy/adventure novel, "Felice and the Wailing Woman," the story of a young girl who enters a magical world along both sides of the U.S.-Mexico border and encounters characters based on local folkore. You can borrow a copy (with a specially prepared reading guide just for our group) from the Connie Morella Library; just ask at the Check Out or Information Desks for the April book for No Shelf Control. MCPL does not currently have access to this book in electronic format on either Libby/Overdrive or Hoopla. Even if you are not able to finish the reading, please come anyway and see if No Shelf Control might just be the place for you! The book for the May 8 meeting will be handed out tonight, and then available to pick up from the Connie Morella Library by anyone who missed it.

Library Program Attendance (both virtual and in the branch) is limited to participants within the suggested age range of the program. Children attending an MCPL program under the age of 8 must be accompanied by an adult. Adults attending a program intended for children must have an accompanying child.

Don't have a card right now? Find out how to Get a Library Card.

Have questions about this program? Contact the branch at 240-777-0970.
