Drop by and learn what Montgomery College has to offer: Dual Enrollment, Early College, Middle College, and Jumpstart degree and pathway programs including rising 9th graders, help with the application process, how to find financial aid to pay for college, class registration, workforce development, placement tests, youth programs for teens, tweens, and children, ESOL classes, degrees and certificates including the biotechnology AAS degree and certificates, trade degrees and certificates in areas such as Heating and Air Conditioning, electrical, and carpentry, Information Technology classes, Lifelong Learning programs, the East County Education Center and so much more!

Teens, tweens & adults, join us Wednesday, August 26 from 4 PM - 5 PM in McGee Library's large 3rd Floor Meeting Room and learn how to become a published author from acclaimed Random House/Disney & HarperCollins YA novelist Anna Bright! Interested in a career in creative writing or novel writing? Got something you’re working on but need a little help? Want to write a novel, but aren’t sure where to begin? Ms. Bright will share her career path to becoming a traditionally published author. For ages 11 and up! SSL opportunity & enjoy snacks - no registration!

FreeState Justice, Maryland’s LGBTQIA+ civil advocacy nonprofit organization, is offering a free, confidential legal name change clinic with guidance, resources, and support for Maryland residents of all ages! The clinic date is Saturday, August 29, 2026, 2 PM - 4 PM at Brigadier General Charles E. McGee Library. The program will take place in the 3rd Floor Meeting Room. Walk-ins are welcome, registration is encouraged! Earn SSL from the library by assisting at the event, including preparing & designing future library programs and cleanup/takedown!
