Protecting Your Money

This seminar will empower members of the Montgomery County community to keep their money save by avoiding scams and bank fraud. 

A senior fraud manager will discuss common scams including tech support scams, imposter scams, romance scams, phantom hacker scams, imposter scams, and more.  There will be real world examples of how such scams start and how they can be avoided. 

There will also be tips and best practices to prevent monetary loss from password compromises, identity theft, and phishing attempts.  There will also be tips to protect members of your family from scams and steps you should take if you think fraud has already occurred.

The program will take place in Multipurpose Room #132, accessible through the building lobby.

Accommodation Requests
