Application Story Lab
Build a reusable story bank for essays and applications
Thursday, August 06
2:00pm - 3:00pm
Brainstorm personal stories for essays, scholarships, or programs. Use prompts to identify turning points, values, challenges, or lessons learned. No experience needed.
Join us to identify personal stories you can use for essays, scholarships, or programs. Use guided prompts to explore turning points, values, challenges, achievements, and lessons learned. Pick which ideas to expand, write brief notes, and leave with a story bank you can use later.
Work quietly, share with other teens if desired, or ask staff for help getting started. Materials are provided while supplies last. No registration required.

Children attending an MCPL program under the age of 8 must be accompanied by an adult. Adults attending a program intended for children must have an accompanying child.
If you plan to attend with a group of ten or more, please contact the branch at least one week before the program to discuss how your group might be accommodated.
