Newspaper Remix Lab
Turn old news into poems, collage, and teen voice
Thursday, July 30
2:00pm - 3:00pm
Cut, black out, and remix old newspapers into poems, headlines, collage, or a personal front page. Choose your format, share only if you want, and leave with teen-made media art. No experience needed.
Use old newspapers, markers, scissors, and collage supplies to turn yesterday’s news into new art and writing. Try blackout poetry, headline remix, editorial collage, or a front page that tells a story from your point of view.
You can work quietly, talk with other teens, or ask staff for help getting started. Selected pieces may be considered for a teen display with permission. Materials provided while supplies last. No registration required.
