A career‑readiness event for ages 16–25 with resume help, interview practice, workplace skills, entrepreneurship, LinkedIn Learning, and the WorkSource MoCo Mobile Job Center, & more.
Join us for a dynamic, full‑day career readiness and skill‑building event designed for teens and young adults ages 16 to 25. In partnership with WorkSource Montgomery and the Gaithersburg‑Germantown Chamber of Commerce, this program brings together career specialists, local business leaders, and workforce development resources to help participants build confidence, explore opportunities, and take the next steps toward employment or entrepreneurship. Whether you are preparing for your first job, planning future career steps, or curious about entrepreneurship, this event offers helpful tools, expert guidance, and community support—all in one place. Everyone is welcome, and no prior experience is needed. This program does not require registration. It is free and open to all.
Throughout the event, attendees can take part in a variety of interactive sessions and hands‑on activities, including:

Library Program Attendance (both virtual and in the branch) is limited to participants within the suggested age range of the program. Children attending an MCPL program under the age of 8 must be accompanied by an adult. Adults attending a program intended for children must have an accompanying child.
If you plan to attend with a group of ten or more, please contact the branch at least one week before the program to discuss how your group might be accommodated.
Accommodation Requests
People who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing should request English-language captioning or sign-language interpretation at least five days before the library-sponsored program they plan to attend.
