This Earth Day, learn how to take care of our planet by Being a Waste Hero! Montgomery College, Environmental Science Professor Kiersten Newtoff will explain all the different types of trash and share tips to avoid putting it into the trash can. You'll explore the ins and outs of recycling, what to do with plastic films, how to handle hazardous waste, ways to recycle clothing, and more. The presentation will include demonstrations and visual aids, and your questions are welcome!
The program will take place in the Large Meeting Room on the lower level of the Germantown Library.

Library Program Attendance (both virtual and in the branch) is limited to participants within the suggested age range of the program. Children attending an MCPL program under the age of 8 must be accompanied by an adult. Adults attending a program intended for children must have an accompanying child.
If you plan to attend with a group of ten or more, please contact the branch at least one week before the program to discuss how your group might be accommodated.
