This Earth Day, learn one way you can take care of our planet: Be a waste hero by reducing your trash impact and recycling when it counts!

This Earth Day, learn how to take care of our planet by Being a Waste Hero! Montgomery College, Environmental Science Professor Kiersten Newtoff will explain all the different types of trash and share tips to avoid putting it into the trash can. You'll explore the ins and outs of recycling, what to do with plastic films, how to handle hazardous waste, ways to recycle clothing, and more. The presentation will include demonstrations and visual aids, and your questions are welcome!

The program will take place in the Large Meeting Room on the lower level of the Germantown Library.
