For October's meeting, we will be discussing The Nature of Fragile Things by Susan Meissner

A historical fiction novel set against the backdrop of the 1906 San Francisco earthquake, following Irish immigrant Sophie Whalen, a mail-order bride who discovers her new husband's secrets, intertwining her fate with two other women as they navigate betrayal, survival, and hidden truths during the disaster. The story explores themes of female solidarity, resilience, and the power of love and friendship amidst upheaval, featuring a major plot twist involving the true identities of the women and their connection to the same man.
