IRS-certified volunteers provide free basic tax return help

By appointment, for qualified individuals/families with less than $68,000 income for tax year '24. Beginning Jan. 23, 2025 call Community Tax Aid at 202-830-1480 to schedule an appt. More info below.

To receive tax preparation assistance, please bring all related documents to the appt., including photo ID, Social Security Card, or ITIN letter for everyone listed on the tax return. Also bring: https://www.communitytaxaiddc.org/free-tax-assistance/what-do-you-need-to-bring-to-the-tax-site/

Occasionally, walk-in appointments are available. You can check with the tax volunteers after 2pm on Sundays for availability.

No appointments on Sunday, February 16 - Library closed for Presidents Day. This location is overseen by Community Tax Aid. The program will be held in the Multi-Purpose Room, #132.
