Explore the science of sinking and floating and make a boat in this hands-on workshop. For children ages 4-10 accompanied by their families. No registration needed.

Learn about sinking and floating and predict whether different objects will sink or float. Also make a boat from recycled materials to take home for more water fun and experiments. This hands-on program will provide children with the opportunity to use their critical thinking and problem-solving skills to achieve a result. For children ages 4-10 accompanied by their families. No registration needed. We will provide all the materials for this program. Sponsored by Friends of the Library, Montgomery County.

Library Program Attendance (both virtual and in the branch) is limited to participants within the suggested age range of the program. Children attending an MCPL program under the age of 8 must be accompanied by an adult. Adults attending a program intended for children must have an accompanying child.
