Celebrate Read Across America at Wheaton Library.
Celebrate Read Across America Week with us!
The Montgomery County Public Libraries is partnering with the Jewish Council for the Aging Heyman Interages Center, or Interages, for Read Across America Week, which this year is from March 2nd to 6th, 2023.
Join us at Wheaton Library on Sunday, March 5th to celebrate a love of literacy by reading along with an Interages volunteer. This program is geared toward children ages from Kindergarten through third grade. Children can bring their own book or select one from the library. JCA volunteers are vetted and also trained by JCA staff in communication and intergenerational interactions. No advanced registration or appointment needed. Participants can just drop-in.
