In this 5-week class, you will write and illustrate your own graphic novel page.
Using all the conventions of graphic novel storytelling: narration, dialogue, character design, dynamic page layouts and cinematic techniques, participants will create their own graphic novel page. Refine rough pencil drawings into finished art with pen and ink and watercolor pencils.
Registration and attendance to all 5 sessions are required (April 23 & 30, May 7, 14 & 21, 2022). Space is limited to 15 participants ages 10-15.
Art supplies to be used during the 5 session class will be provided.
If any participant is registered and cannot attend, please contact the Wheaton Library to cancel the registration so that individuals on the waiting list can participate. Customers on the waiting list will be contacted if space/supplies become available.
These classes are in partnership with artist Leila Cabib and funded in part by a Wheaton Cultural Project Grant from the Arts and Humanities Council of Montgomery County.
IMPORTANT NOTE: The facilitator has requested all attendees to wear masks while attending the 5-session class. All attendees will require to wear masks - no exceptions.
