Creating new ideas out of old text

Instead of using markers to censor a text, we'll explore how to construct new ideas from the words that remain.

To mark Banned Books week, we'll be looking at how to make redacted poetry. We'll provide markers and found texts; you'll creatively erase words until new meaning and ideas emerge.

Join us every Wednesday for activities for teens! Come have fun with friends, make new ones, or just hang out. Ask to speak with our Teen Librarians for more detailed information on what's planned each week.  Snacks and SSL hours are available.

This program is for ages 13-18 only.
