Introduction to Robotics
For ages 11-17
Monday, June 29
12:00pm - 2:00pm
Rockville Library
Teen SpaceThis three session robotics workshop series will allow for an exciting hands-on introduction to robot building, robot programming, and Computer-Aided Design.
In this three-session robotics workshop, we will introduce you to the world of robotics. In session 1 (June 29th), we will disassemble and then build a barebone robot. In session 2 (June 30th), we will code a robot to move both by using a video game controller and autonomously. In session 3 (July 1st), we will work with the computer software Onshape to design objects with real-world use. These workshops are perfect for anyone interested in STEM and require no prior experience.
Students are encouraged to sign up for all 3 sessions, if possible, but are welcome to sign up for fewer. Class hosted by world-class First Tech Challenge (FTC) team #23975 PigeonBots from Rockville, MD.
