Come celebrate Montgomery County Public Libraries’ 75th anniversary at Quince Orchard Library!
Join us for a fun, family-friendly celebration with music, dancing, crafts, bingo, scavenger hunts, cake, light refreshments, and more. Guests are invited to come dressed in a style from any decade from the 1950s through the 2010s and enter our Best Dressed Contest. Contest categories will include Tween/Teen, ages 11–17, and Adult, ages 18 and up. Prizes will be awarded for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place in each category.
Children are encouraged to dress up, too! Participation prizes will be available for children dressed in decade-inspired outfits, while supplies last.
Activities include:
- Community Dance and Listening Party: a musical mix through the decades
- Best Dressed Contest
- Bingo
- Cake and light refreshments
- Scavenger hunts for children and teens
- Craft tables for different ages
Craft tables, scavenger hunts, refreshments, and participation treats will be available while supplies last.
This intergenerational program is free and open to all ages. Sponsored by Friends of the Library, Montgomery County, MD, Inc.

Library Program Attendance (both virtual and in the branch) is limited to participants within the suggested age range of the program. Children attending an MCPL program under the age of 8 must be accompanied by an adult. Adults attending a program intended for children must have an accompanying child.
If you plan to attend with a group of ten or more, please contact the branch at least one week before the program to discuss how your group might be accommodated.
Accommodation Requests
People who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing should request English-language captioning or sign-language interpretation at least five days before the library-sponsored program they plan to attend. Contact the Assistant Facilities and Accessibility Program Manager at 240-777-0002 with all other accommodation requests.
