The NIH Chamber Singers, a group of seventeen singers under the direction of Dwight Brock, present a Spring Concert of choral music in many styles for singers and listeners alike.
This spring, the selections will emphasize the joys and benefits of singing and song. We will explore how singing is more than a pleasant pastime. It can and has supported humans in all situations and in all times. As we examine these effects, we will share choral music from many eras and many genres, including a remembrance for America’s 250th, a nod to pop music of the second half of the 20th century, and an introduction to some “new” music of the 21st century, with a special arrangement by one of our multitalented singers. This concert is appropriate for audiences of all ages, and will include some fun surprises. Join us for an hour of singing and song.
