Teen Urban Legend Storytelling Workshop

Part of our Wednesday drop-in series of events

The call is coming from inside the library! A storyteller will discuss classic urban legends, and teach you how to put your own local spin on spooky stories. This event is for teens age 13-19.

Ever heard about... the Hook? How about the Vanishing Hitchhiker? These are classic urban legends known across the country, but you can set them here...

Join us as a professional storyteller recounts tales told to terrify, and teaches you how to update them and make them local. Phantoms on Fenton Street? Cryptids in Rock Creek Park? What will your urban legend be?

Have fun with friends, make new ones, or just hang out. Ask to speak with our Teen Librarians for more detailed information on what's planned each week.  Snacks and SSL hours are available.
