Zentangle is a meditative art form where you use repetitive patterns to create designs. We will learn basic easy-to-do patterns.
Zentangle is a wonderful, relaxing, meditative art form. We will listen to tranquil music while learning a couple different design patterns that are used frequently in the Zentangle art form. This art form uses five basic elements or strokes: dots, straight line, S shape, C shape, and orbs in each pattern. Come relax, design, and enjoy this creative and meditative process. You will be delighted to see how easy it is to design these beautiful patterns. We will start with very basic easy-to-do patterns; the magic is they look more complicated than they really are. No design skills or experience needed. Program is sponsored by the Friends of the Library, Montgomery County, MD.
Supplies will be provided. Feel free to bring your own special pencil or calligraphy pen if you have one.
Snacks and beverage provided.
