Authors Talia Lavin and Blake Chastain appear virtually to discuss their books "Wild Faith" and "Exvangelical and Beyond."

Author Talia Lavin's latest book, Wild Faith, investigates the rise of the Christian Right over the last half-century that lays out the grim vision evangelicals are enforcing on our democracy. She will appear virtually to discuss her book with Blake Chastain, author of Exvangelical and Beyond and host of the podcast Exvangelical.

Talia Lavin is a journalist and author of Culture Warlords: My Journey into the Dark Web of White Supremacy, published in 2020. She has worked for The New Yorker, HuffPost, and MSNBC Daily. Her work has also appeared in The Washington Post, New York Magazine, The New Republic, and Rolling Stone among others.

From school boards to the Supreme Court, Christian theocracy is ascendant in America—and only through exploring its motivations and impacts can we understand the crisis we face. In Wild Faith, Lavin fearlessly confronts whether our democracy can survive an organized, fervent theocratic movement, one that seeks to impose its religious beliefs on American citizens.
