The Montgomery County Public Libraries and the Montgomery County Commission for Women are pleased to offer a series of financial seminars to help walk you through the ins and outs of "all things money”. The seminars will be led by Jamie Lapin, Private Wealth Advisor and president of RMG Advisors, LLC, along with Thiago Glieger, Private Wealth Advisor and Federal retirement specialist and will take place via Zoom from 7:00-8:30 pm.

REGISTRATION REQUIRED. You should register for each session separately. The link to attend will be provided after registration.

Tuesday, May 12: Financial Planning 101.  Learn the basics of financial planning along with terms and tools to equip yourself with the knowledge you need to succeed financially.   PAST

Tuesday, May 19: Retirement Planning.  Not running out of money before running out of time is most people’s biggest concern. Our goal is to maximize your understanding of your resources and your autonomy.

Tuesday, May 26: Planning to Leave Federal Service.   This session will guide federal employees through the retirement planning process, with a focus on understanding and maximizing their FERS benefits. The session will cover the unique rules, options and timelines that affect FERS, TSP, FEHB, FEGLI and more, so that you can feel confident as you separate from service.

Tuesday, June 2: Divorce and Money.   Divorce is a strain on your finances as well as your nerves. Will you be fiscally ok when it’s over? What is your role in making sure of that?
