Energy Express is a summer event for kids and families to learn about energy usage.

Energy Express is a summer event for kids and families to learn about energy usage. As a partnership between the Department of Environmental Protection, Nature Forward, and Montgomery County Public Libraries, these interactive presentations will take place across the County’s libraries and take the annual Summer Reading Program theme and add an energy lens to them! Join us for an exciting program for travelers. Embark on a global adventure with this summer's reading theme, "Adventure Begins at Your Library," where P.O.W.E.R students will guide children aged 6 to 12 to explore renewable energy worldwide.

P.O.W.E.R, or Peer Outreach With Energy Resources, is an energy education program organized by the Montgomery County Department of Environmental Protection and Nature Forward.

This program is intended for children ages 6-12 years old. Registration is required.

Looking for something to do until this program? Sign up for the library's Summer Reading Challenge! Preregistration begins May 15. Log activities from June 14 – August 31, 2024.

Questions about this program? Contact the Quince Orchard Library at 240-777-0200.

Library Program Attendance (both virtual and in the branch) is limited to participants within the suggested age range of the program.
