Learn about engineering, magnetism, and gravity by building two amazing mazes! You can even connect your maze to a partner’s for a challenge! For children ages 4-10. Online pre-registration required.

Learn about engineering, magnetism, and gravity by building amazing mazes! First, design a maze to navigate a magnetic dot through; then, reconfigure your maze by building ramps and pathways to make a ball roll to its goal. You can even connect your maze to a partner’s and extend the experience! For children ages 4-10 accompanied by their families. Online pre-registration (children only) is required. Sponsored by Friends of the Library, Montgomery County.

This hands-on program will provide children with the opportunity to use their critical thinking and problem-solving skills to achieve a result. We will provide all the experiment materials for this program.

Library Program Attendance (both virtual and in the branch) is limited to participants within the suggested age range of the program. Children attending an MCPL program under the age of 8 must be accompanied by an adult. Adults attending a program intended for children must have an accompanying child.

Accommodation Requests

People who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing should request English-language captioning or sign-language interpretation at least five days before the library-sponsored program they plan to attend. Contact the Assistant Facilities and Accessibility Program Manager at 240-777-0002 with all other accommodation requests.
