Meet Layla Shepard, Maryland Alternate Dairy Princess, for a story and hands-on activity about remarkable cows and the milk they produce. Children will learn about dairy cows and the health benefits of milk. Alternate Dairy Princess Layla will talk about what it's been like to raise her own cows, and share a story about on how milk goes from the cow to the carton. Children will do a hands-on activity to take home, along with some other cow-related goodies. For children ages 3 – 9 with their adults. No registration.

Library Program Attendance (both virtual and in the branch) is limited to participants within the suggested age range of the program. Children attending an MCPL program under the age of 8 must be accompanied by an adult. Adults attending a program intended for children must have an accompanying child.

People who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing should request English-language captioning or sign-language interpretation at least five days before the library-sponsored program they plan to attend.
