The Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program offers free tax preparation assistance by appointment to families with income less than $58,000, and persons with disabilities, including taxpayers with limited English
IRS-certified volunteers will provide free basic income tax return preparation with electronic filing to qualified individuals Saturdays 11:30-3:30pm. The service is by appointment. To request an appointment call Community Tax Aid at 202-830-1480 or send an email to "appointments@communitytaxaiddc.org". To receive tax preparation assistance, bring all related documents to the appt., including photo ID and Social Security Card or ITIN letter for everyone listed on the tax return. This VITA location is overseen by Community Tax Aid. The program will be held in the second floor meeting room at Rockville Memorial Library.

Accommodation Requests
People who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing should request English-language captioning or sign-language interpretation at least five days before the library-sponsored program they plan to attend. Contact the Assistant Facilities and Accessibility Program Manager at 240-777-0002 with all other accommodation requests.
