Kensington Share Fair - In-person
Saturday, November 14
10:00am - 12:00pm
Welcome to a Share Fair! Bring things you no longer want, take new-to-you treasures others are offering. All free! Must take with you any of your items that are unclaimed by noon.
Event rules:
From 10am-10:59am: Find/be directed to a parking space next to grass. As this will occur during library open hours, safety and access require that items be displayed on the grassy areas (would suggest bringing a blanket or tarp to lay items on). It's also recommended to label anything you don't want taken (clothing racks etc). Arrive at any point during the 10am hour in order to enjoy the full 11am hour of "shopping"!
Once you've situated your things, the 10am hour is a good time to look at other people's items as they arrive and set up (no taking yet!)
at 11am: a whistle will sound. That is the time for folks to "shop" for the items they'd like until 11:59am.
at noon: each person who brought items must take with them any that are unclaimed by noon.
You don't have to bring anything in order to find treasures that others are offering.
All potential swap items must be safe, legal and allowed on government property.
If there is extreme weather this event will be canceled. At that point, stay tuned for a follow-up date!
