Celebrate Diwali!

at Gaithersburg Library

Celebrate Diwali, the Festival of Lights with us! Join us for a bright and joyful Diwali celebration.

Together we'll listen to the colorful Diwali story that introduces the Festival of Lights and its traditions, then we'll get creative as we decorate our own diyas. This fun, festive program invites families to explore Diwali through stories, art, and imagination. Come share the light!

Presented by Priyanka Upadhyay.

Priyanka is a Hindi and English language facilitator who has successfully conducted Diwali, Holi, and language workshops at the Potomac, Ashburn, Germantown, and Rockville libraries. She has co-authored books based on the Hindi alphabets and is a presenter on the YouTube channel, Beenu Bandar, which features Hindi language videos for diaspora kids. 

For ages 5 to 13 years. Parents/caregivers MUST accompany children under the age of 8 during the program. No registration required!

Library Program Attendance (both virtual and in the branch) is limited to participants within the suggested age range of the program. Adults attending a program intended for children must have an accompanying child.
