Teen Advisory Board (TAB)
Share ideas, plan projects, and earn SSL hours
Thursday, September 17
5:00pm - 6:30pm
Join TAB for presentations, reflection and service planning. Share ideas, help shape teen programs, support library projects, build leadership skills, and earn four SSL hours with other teens.
Join the Connie Morella Library's Teen Advisory Board (TAB) to help shape teen programs, volunteer projects, and library spaces. TAB members share ideas with library staff, give feedback, plan upcoming activities, and work with other teens on projects that support the library and community.
The first section features a presentation, skill-building activity, or discussion on a topic relevant to teens. The second section is for teen reflection, planning, and project work. TAB members identify library and community needs, help prepare service projects, take action through teen-led or teen-supported activities, and reflect on what they learned and who benefited.
New members are welcome. You do not need prior volunteer or leadership experience. Teens can earn four Student Service-Learning (SSL) hours for attending the full meeting and participating. Snacks are provided (while supplies last).
This program is sponsored by Friends of the Library of Montgomery County, MD, Inc.
