For ages 11-19! Celebrate the summer and unleash your imagination - with dinos! Make your own dinosaur comic, enjoy snacks and earn SSL by making more dino comics for our library's Teen Space! No registration required, no experience needed. You'll be helping us decorate Teen Space with dinosaurs for this year's summer reading theme, "Unearth a Story!"
Join us Wednesday, July 29th from 4-6 PM in Brigadier General Charles E. McGee Library's 3rd Floor Meeting Room! Drop in for our festival of dino fun! We will provide a variety of supplies and a little comics tutorial, just bring your imagination! If you want to use acrylic paint or glue, be dressed appropriately to get messy. In addition to cardstock, markers, and colored pencils, we'll have glue, acrylic paint, feathers, gems, sequins, buttons, ribbons, and pompoms for you to go wild with dinosaurs.
Earn SSL by making more dinosaur comics for our Teen Space, helping us with setup, preparing and designing future library programs, library program advertising & cleanup/takedown!

Looking for more fun things to do at MCPL? Take a look at these events for teens!
You don't need a library card to attend these events, but you should get one to take full advantage of MCPL services. Don’t have a card right now? No worries! Find out how to Get a Library Card.
You can use your library card to access over a hundred online resources. We have recommended lists of books & authors for teens, test prep resources and other online resources for exploring careers or getting ready for college, information on volunteering or working in a library, and much more!
Library Program Attendance (both virtual and in the branch) is limited to participants within the suggested age range of the program. Children attending an MCPL program under the age of 8 must be accompanied by an adult. Adults attending a program intended for children must have an accompanying child.
If you plan to attend with a group of ten or more, please contact the branch at least one week before the program to discuss how your group might be accommodated.
