Welcome to the 2026 Summer Reading Challenge! Visit the Maggie Nightingale Library and sign up for the Summer Reading Challenge and get a free book (ages 0-18) or free canvas bag (ages 19+). Montgomery County Public Library is challenging everyone to keep reading and learning all summer long. Please join us.
And be sure to attend the library's Summer Reading Challenge Kick Off at the Damascus Community Recreation Center (25520 Oak Dr, Damascus, MD 20872) on Saturday, June 13th from 11am-2pm! Crafts, storytime, a dino dance party and more await you!

Library Program Attendance (both virtual and in the branch) is limited to participants within the suggested age range of the program. Children attending an MCPL program under the age of 8 must be accompanied by an adult. Adults attending a program intended for children must have an accompanying child.
